Keeping track of too much stuff

I have been using my web sites to keep track of different things that I like or might want to remember later.

The problem is that I have too many sites, and they are too different. Plus I have some that are mostly duplicates of others, or very similar.

Then I remember that I want to use a pull down menu, or some SEO trick that I did once and want to try again, I remember that I put all the information about it on a website, but then I can’t remember which site, then I have something on investing that I remember I wanted to try.

Then sometimes I remember which site, but the site is a blog where the information is just added chronologically unless I can remember which day I did it then it’s usually very hard to find, and of course there is no way I would ever remember what day I added something, most of the time I can’t remember what year I added something.

Blogger is added categories to their new blogs, which may help a little, but it’s still not a good solution. I am not sure what the answer is but I know that what I am doing now is not working.  I need some kind of index for hard to find stuff.
